William E. "Bill" Rosiere
William E. “Bill” Rosiere, 91, Seneca, MO, passed to eternal life on October 24, 2011 at McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage, MO. Bill was born June 3, 1920 in Antelope, KS to Herbert Eugene Rosiere and Julia (Marler) Rosiere. He grew up in Kansas and OK, later settling in Seneca, MO where he graduated high school in 1939. In 1942 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps where he served in India, Berma and China. Before being shipped overseas he married Elizabeth Ann Shaplan on September 23, 1942. The were blessed to share 69 years together. To this union two sons were born. After his WWII service he came home to work at the Seneca Milnot Plant where he later retired after 30 years. He was a faithful member of the Seneca United Methodist Church. He was a charter member of the Seneca Saddle Club, St John’s Mended Hearts and Seneca United Methodist Men. He was the founder of Grand Lake Ministries. Bill was very active in the Methodist Church by serving as Sunday School Superintendant, president of the board, certified lay speaker and district director of lay speakers. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and two sisters. Gladys Lewis, Virgil Rosiere, Lorene Dunnegan, Jess Rosiere, Max Rosiere and Glen Rosiere. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth of the home, sons Randy Rosiere of Stephanville, TX and Russell Rosiere of Wentworth, MO; daughter of our heart Carol Roark and her husband Glenn; grandchildren, Rashell Hopkins and family of Baxter Springs, KS and Cody Rosiere and family of Avondale, CO and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Seneca United Methodist Church with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM prior to the funeral service at Seneca United Methodist Church.
