Wesley Leon Crow, 84, Wyandotte, OK passed away June 20, 2020 in Freeman West Hospital after an illness.
Wesley Leon Crow was born November 29, 1935 in Wyandotte, OK the son of Thomas Wesley and Margorie Jane (McCombs) Crow. He was a 1954 graduate of Wyandotte High School. He served his country in the United States Army. Leon worked for the former Glenn Berry Manufacturing Plant in Commerce, OK. He loved to serve his community. He was a former member of the Wyandotte Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to fish, play Dominos and spending time with his family. Leon didn’t know a stranger.
Wesley Leon Crow married Oma Lee Purdom in November 1960 in Miami, OK and she preceded him in death July 11, 2008.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Taffner and husband Billy and Linda Clark both of Wyandotte, OK; one son Leon Crow and wife Trinda, Wyandotte; one step daughter, Noel Scroggins, Wyandotte; two brothers Thomas Crow, Cassville, MO and James McCall, Wyandotte; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Marjorie Crow; siblings, Mary Griner, Johnny Crow, Monty McCall, Clara Hubbard and Scetta Mathis; one grandson, Ricky Rakes.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 25, at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Wyandotte, OK with Danny Burleson officiating. Burial will be in the Wyandotte Cemetery with Members of the Wyandotte Fire Department and Qupaw Nation Fire Department serving as pallbearers. Grandsons will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
