Warren W. Kohler, 89, Seneca, MO passed away at his home surrounded by his family after a long illness.
Warren Walter Kohler was born October 14, 1935 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Theodore and Irene (Tutty) Kohler. Warren had lived in the area most of his life. He served his country in the US Navy. Warren loved to study the Bible, travel, fishing at Roaring River, and tinkering with things. He owned and operated several service stations in the area. Warren owned and operated School buses 18 years for the Seneca School District. He worked for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier for the Seneca Post office retiring after 20 years. Warren served one term as the Mayor of Seneca and was a member of the American Legion post 147 in Miami, OK. He attended Seneca First Baptist Church.
Warren Walter Kohler married Joyce Irene Lankford February 9, 1956 in Carthage, MO and she survives.
Additional survivors include one son Doug Kohler and wife Lori, Seneca; one daughter, Niki Hughes and husband Stan; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild and a host of extended family.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Irene Kohler; one son Ryan Kohler, two sisters, Donna King and Bonita Scarberry.
The body has been taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 10am, Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the Seneca Cemetery with Stan Hughes and Rod VanGorkom officiating.
