Walter Vinson

Walter E. Vinson, 80, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 3:21PM, Wednesday, January 9, 2014 at his home after an illness. Walter Earl Vinson was born October 1, 1933 in Paducah, KY the son of Aubrey and Flossie (Hopper) Vinson. Walter loved fishing and traveling. He was an Army Veteran serving his country during the Korean War.  He worked for Missouri Department of Transportation and was a truck driver before retiring. Walter was of the Baptist faith. Walter Earl Vinson married Helen Whitehead August 6, 1955 in Seneca, MO and she preceded him in death January 17, 2003. Also preceding him in death was his parents and 3 brothers, Troy Vinson, Hobart Vinson and Bob Vinson. Survivors include; one son Earl Vinson, Seneca; two daughters, Valerie Nader, Seneca and Roxanna Packer and husband Richard, Joplin; 5 grandchildren, Mark Lujan, Nathan Lujan, Alexis Lujan, Shane Cook and Kaylee Packer and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Friday at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home. Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Seneca with Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery with Mark Lujan, Nathan Lujan, Shane Cook, Kyler Chester, Tanner Lujan and Treyven Lujan serving as pallbearers.
