Steven Davis

Steven Davis, age 76, fell into the loving arms of Jesus on May 30, 2024 at his home in Seneca, Missouri, surrounded by his family.

He was born August 12, 1947 in Alhambra, California to Harry and Dorothy (Klier) Davis. He graduated from Ganesha High School, Pomona, California in 1966 where he met the love of his life, Arlene J. Stitt. After graduating, he served his country from 1968-1970. Upon coming home, he and Arlene got married in Las Vegas, Nevada. He graduated from Montclair police Academy in 1972 where he served as a police officer and detective. He later had two real estate licenses from Colorado and California and built two homes. He and Arlene felt called to the mission field in 1989 and were sent out by their church, Vista Christian Fellowship to spend eighteen years serving full time on the mission field in Mexico.

Family survivors include his daughter, Katie Snow and her husband, Jesse; Travis Davis, and Ed Davis. Siblings: Ray Davis and his wife, Adrienne, and Bonnie Willett; Surviving grandchildren: Valerie Nolen, Sophya Davis, Jacob Snow, and Nathan Snow. In addition, there are great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Steve left the legacy of a lion's heart. One distinction about his personality that stood out, was his ability to start up a conversation with anyone and that exchange was always going to lead to a conversation about Jesus.

His life of diverse talents showed his fervent determination to get the job done and done well! He loved to fish the streams of Bishop, California and go deep sea fishing in the Pacific ocean off the Baja in Mexico. From being a ski host in Colorado, to guide outfitting, building a log home in Colorado to exhilarating motorcycle trips across the USA were just a few of his adventures.

A celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., June 11, 2024 at Racine Christian Church.

The family will hold a private graveside service at Price Cemetery, in Goodman.
