Stephen Lankford (Steve)
Stephen R. Lankford, 64, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest, Monday, March 16, 2015 at his home in Seneca after a sudden illness. Stephen Ray Lankford was born January 29, 1951 in Neosho, MO the son of Glenn H. and Julia A. (Gamble) Lankford. Steve was a lifelong Seneca resident and graduated from Seneca High School. Steve was a member of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and was a heavy equipment operator for White Loon Construction. Survivors include, two daughters, Michelle Garner, Neosho, MO and Corrie Fenscke and husband Brad, Broken Arrow, OK; one son, Casey Sutton, Wagner, OK; two brothers, Jerry Lankford and wife Diane, Joplin and Doug Lankford and wife Gena,, Miami, OK; four sisters, Glenda Fetter and husband Harold, Joplin, Barbara Mullin and husband Wayne, Miami, OK, Carolyn Niles, Franklin, TN and Julie Olds and husband Dustin, Miami, OK; grandchildren, Makenzie Vance, Kallie Fenscke, Kenna Fenscke and Olivia Garner; and a host of nieces and nephews; adopted tribal children George and Renee Alexander and grandchildren Charles, Gavin and Kenny; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Fox. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Julia Lankford. Graveside services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Swars Prairie Church of Christ Cemetery south of Seneca, MO on Red Bud Road. The body will lie in state at his sister's home at the 904 Cherokee Ave Seneca, MO.
