Stephen Chafin

Stephen E. Chafin, 55, Wyandotte, OK, passed away March 26, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin after an illness.   Stephen Eugene Chafin was born April 9, 1961 in Miami, OK the son of Clyde W. and Lorene Newberry Chafin. He was a lifelong area resident and a member of the Modoc Indian Tribe of Oklahoma.   Stephen was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Chafin.   Survivors include one brother, David Chafin, Wyandotte, OK; one sister, Linda Johnston, Wyandotte, OK and a host of extended family.   The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.     Graveside services will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Modoc Indian Cemetery North of Wyandotte, OK.
