Sharon Wood-Haynes

Sharon (Wood) Haynes was carried peacefully to heaven by her angel on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Portneuf Hospital in Pocatello, ID.

Sharon was born May 26, 1945 to Rollie and Ruby (Wilson) Welch in Joplin, MO. She was a long-time resident of Joplin and moved to Rockland, ID in 2000. Sharon was a Private Certified Surgical Tech for 25 years for a group of orthopedic surgeons. The last 10 years of that was with Dr. Bruce Burleigh at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.

Sharon was preceded in death by father and her mother. Her mother passed in July of 2017, she was 101 years old; Two brothers Frank Welch and Charles Welch; her husband of 35 years Roy Wood in 2000.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years David Haynes, Rockland, ID; her children, Lisa Wood, Joplin, MO and Steven Wood, Webb City; one sister Carol Frisinger and husband Gene, Racine, MO; Sharon had a close and loving relationship with David’s three children, Laura Haynes, Spirit Lake, ID, Dora Roberts, Twin Falls, ID and John Haynes, Ringgold, GA, and they survive; 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Sharon absolutely loved her family and spending time camping, hunting elk, deer, fishing and reading.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 7:00pm, May 28, 2019 at the Burkhart Cemetery in Racine, MO with Marilyn O’Brien officiating. Local arrangements under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home Seneca, MO.
