Sharon Bennett

  Sharon Kay Bennett, 62, of Billings, Missouri, passed into eternal rest with Jesus, February 2, 2024, after a five- and one-half-year battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer.
  Sharon was born on June 15, 1962, in Lebanon, Missouri, the daughter of Wallace Dwight Jones and Glenda Lewis Jones. She was a 1980 graduate of Lebanon Highschool and later went on to graduate with a bachelor's degree in accounting at Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, where she was also a member of the Alpha Delta Pl sorority. In 1988, Sharon embarked on a career at the U.S. Federal Medical Center in Springfield, where she received many awards and citations for exemplary service, retiring after 26 years as a Unit Manager in 2016. In 2000, she married her best friend William "Mike" Bennett, Billings, Missouri, where she spent the remainder of her days loving and being loved. She was also an active member of the First Baptist Church in Republic, Missouri. 
  She was preceded in death by her father Wallace Jones. She is survived by her mother Glenda Jones and sister Sherry Lea Headley of Lebanon; son(s) Shawn Coffey of Crane, Missouri, Shane Coffey of Springfield, Missouri and Spencer Coffey-Bennett of Republic, Missouri; two grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
  Sharon will be greatly missed by all those who knew her and especially by the man who loved and cared for her. Goodbye my love until we meet together again with Jesus. 
  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA), or Regional Hospice, 3405 W. Mt. Vernon, Suite 100, Springfield, Missouri, 65802. Sharon will be laid to rest at the Seneca Cemetery, Seneca, Missouri, after a private family service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, February 5th at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO, as she wished to be remembered the way she had been known.  She will be laid to rest at the Seneca Cemetery following the private family service.
