Robert Vickers

Robert “Bob” L. Vickers, 84, Pineville, MO, passed into eternal rest at 12:15 AM, April 26, 2012 at his home in rural Pineville.    Robert Leroy Vickers was born February 12, 1928 in Cardin, OK the son of Joseph and Bertie (Beach) Vickers. Bob was of the RLDS faith and retired from FAG Bearing in Joplin. He married Betty Jean Jaynes September 1, 1949 in Neosho, MO and she survives.    Additional survivors include four sons, Johnny Vickers, Spavinaw, OK, Jerry Vickers, Dennis Vickers and Leland Vickers all of Pineville, MO; two daughters, Penny Nance, Medina, TX and Cheryl Vickers, Rogers, AR; 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and a host of friends.    Bob was preceded in death by two sons, Randall Vickers in 2000 and Tracy Vickers in 1979; two sisters, Lorene Brandon in 1999 and Bertie Cantrell in 1979; three brothers, Clifford Vickers in 2000, Joe Vickers in 2007, Jim Vickers 1976 and one granddaughter Tonya Nance in 1969.    Graveside services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Seneca Cemetery with family members officiating. Pallbearers will be Cory Vickers, Kenny Vickers, Matt Parker, Travis Vickers, Jonathan Vickers and Brandon Nance. Honorary Pallbearer will be Paul Mendenhall.   The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Robert Vickers memorial fund in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.
