Robert (Bob) Phillip Kerns, 83, Miami, Oklahoma, passed into eternal rest January 2, 2019 at the Higher Call Nursing Center in Quapaw, Oklahoma after a long illness.
Bob was born January 24, 1935 in Bluejacket, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Alice Kerns and graduated from Miami High School. He previously owned and operated the Kerns Shop & Save in Chandler, Oklahoma following a grocery sales career in Norman and Oklahoma City. Upon retirement, Bob enjoyed serving others as a Senior Companion and was an active member of Faith Pentecostal Church, Miami, Oklahoma. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Beverly. Other survivors include a daughter, Marcella Thorgenson, Midwest City, Oklahoma, step-sons, Niles Daniels, Bella Vista, Arkansas and Denny Daniels, Katy, Texas, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his loving church family. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and his son, Greg.
Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, Missouri will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Faith Pentecostal Church in Miami, Oklahoma with Pastor Mike Stephens officiating. Kaden Sumner, Kobe Sumner, Jim Walsh, Doyle Goins, Sherman Stephens, and Tommy Blizzard will serve as pallbearers.
Private burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery, Seneca, Missouri.
