Phillip J. Kelly
Phillip Jordan Kelly, 67, Seneca passed away on Jan. 30, 2018. Phillip was born June 1, 1950 in St. Louis, MO. He was the 3rd child of the 10 children of John D. and Minnie K. Kelly (both deceased). Phillip attended Seneca Schools where he graduated in 1968. He attended Crowder College where he received an Associate Degree in Science. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seneca. Phillip’s career began in industrial management, then passed to industrial sales. Over his career Phillip designed and sold automated industrial painting systems, industrial and residential water treatment systems, industrial chemicals and insurance. A longtime businessman, Phillip owed Seneca Auto Sales, Kelly Specialties advertising and Kelly’s Restaurant in Neosho. He enjoyed many things in his life. He enjoyed fishing and teaching his children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews to fish. His and Shirley’s garden was admired (and shared) with both family and friends every spring and summer. Phillip Jordan Kelly married Shirley Brock May 6, 1972 in Joplin, MO and she survives. Additional survivors include four children; Lisa McDonald, Seneca, Tresha Thompson, Joplin, Christopher J. Kelly and Thomas J. Kelly both of Seneca; brothers and sisters, John E. Kelly and Teresa, Springfield, Patrick F. Kelly and Suzanne, Joplin, Thomas W. Kelly and Theresa, Neosho, Michael R. Kelly, Seneca, Joseph M. Kelly and Suzanne, Seneca, Edward V. Kelly and Rebecca, Seneca, Marian K. Kelly Joplin and Eileen A. Thomas and Hank, Seneca; One sister-in-law Gail Kelly, Joplin. 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents John D. and Minnie K. Kelly; one brother Greg Kelly and one sister-in-law, Dianne Kelly. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, February 2, 2018 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, February 3, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph D. Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Seneca, with Patrick Kelly, Andy Kelly, Stacy Kelly, Julie Browning, Amanda Jamros, Terry Kelly and Daniel Kelly serving as pallbearers.
