Norma Francis Friend, 84, Seneca, Missouri went to be with her Lord, December 12, 2020 at Joplin, MO after an illness.

Francis Lankford was born November 24, 1936 in Neosho, MO to Delmar and Minnie Lankford. She lived in the Seneca, MO and Fairland, OK areas most of her life. She attended Wayside Assembly of God in Wyandotte, OK.

Francis Lankford married Robert Friend June 21, 1952.

Francis loved spending time with her family and friends, sewing, playing aggravation and working jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by two sons, Darrell and Debbie Friend, Wittmann, AZ; Rick and Diane Friend, Seneca, MO; brothers Howard Lankford and Ron Lankford; sisters Mary Nunes, Mildred Adey and Carolyn Sreaves; grandchildren Jerry Friend, Jason Friend, Travis Hunter, Justin Burch, Jessica Oakley, and a host of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Friend; one daughter Janie Burch; one brother Leonard Lankford; two sisters Maxine Oliver and Sarah Pippin; and one great-grandson, Caleb Friend.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Friend, Jason Friend, Travis Hunter, Justin Burch, Trevor Feagans, and Gavin Oakley.

Due to social distancing restrictions a private family service will be held under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca, MO. Friends and family may view the body and sign the guest book at the funeral home Wednesday from 9am to 6pm and Thursday from 9am to 6pm.
