Neoma J. Roper, 88, Wyandotte, OK, passed into eternal rest December 2, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
Neoma Josephine Offutt was born August 10, 1931 in Miami, OK the daughter of Lloyd and Thelma (Sharp) Offutt. Neoma J. Offutt married Charles Roper August 6, 1949 and together they owned and operated Roper’s Kozy Kove Resort on Grand Lake for many years. She also ran a paper route for many years delivering the paper to the people in the Wyandotte area. Neoma was a proud mother and even a prouder grandmother. She enjoyed her family, fishing and the outdoors most of all. Neoma attended Wayside Assembly of God in Wyandotte, OK and she formerly attended the First Christian Church in Fairland.
Neoma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Roper, her daughter, Cathy Roper, her son Chuck Roper, infant daughter, Donna May, her Grandson-in-law Rusty Fry and 6 siblings.
Survivors include; her daughter, Irene Weldon and husband Clay, Wyandotte, OK; Grandchildren, Lude Weldon and Rachel, Billings, MO, Sarah Epperson and Scott, Wyandotte, OK, Mike Weldon and Miranda, Wyandotte, Jennifer Boston, Kentucky, Amanda Simpson and Patrick, Kentucky, Laura Henderson, California, Rachel Henderson, Wyandotte and 10 Great-Grandchildren and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Wayside Assembly of God with Rev. Danny Burleson officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with Clay Weldon, Buck Weldon, Matt Weldon, Josh Weldon, Luke Weldon, Mike Weldon and Westin Fry serving as pallbearers.
