Obituary for Nancy L. Rittter

Nancy Lee Ritter, 78, of Seneca, MO passed away at 3:50 p.m., June 11, 2017 in her new home south of Seneca surrounded by her loved ones.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 14th at the Swars Prairie Baptist Church. Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 15th at Swars Prairie Baptist Church with Roger Mills officiating.  Burial will be in the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery. A celebration of life will continue at Hart Baptist Church following the burial.  Nancy was born on February 3, 1939 at home in Seneca, Missouri’s Hart Community where she was raised lovingly by her grandparents Fred and Sarah Cook.   Nancy was a 1956 graduate of Seneca High School. She retired from Seneca Telephone Company and previously worked for the Seneca R-7 School District. She could remember anyone’s phone number and treated others children as if they were her own.  Nancy was a devoted mom and the best Nana ever. She put her children, and her children’s children, first. Everyone that knew her loved her. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, working in her yard, and various crafts. She was an accomplished seamstress and could make or fix just about anything.  Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Jean House; her brother, Paul Freddie Cook; her parents, Paul Cook and Avanelle Harpool; and her grandparents, Fred and Sarah Cook.  Survivors include: Her children; Bobbi Lynn Barnes, LeAnna Lankford Hall, Donna Lee Youngblood, Bruce Alan Carver, Curtis Lee Carver, Nancy Renee Woods, Paul Bradley Carver, and Douglas Guy Carver; Nancy’s beloved sisters; Beverly Jean Wescott and Sara Lynn Ritter. As well as her adored 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Swars Prairie Baptist Church building fund or Seneca R-7 School Foundation, in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome funeral Home, PO Box 380 Seneca, MO 64865.
