Mona Faust

Mona J. Faust, 88, Seneca, MO, passed away January 11, 2025 at the Seneca House Nursing Home after an illness.

Mona Jean Monroe was born September 14, 1936 in Crawford County, WI the daughter of Delbert Sr. and Faye (Boak) Monroe. Mona was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and was a homemaker all her life. She was of the Christian faith and had formerly attended Bethel Baptist Church and Seneca Christian Church. Mona enjoyed fishing, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was very devoted to taking care of her family. Mona's best friend was her husband Gordon Faust. They were married June 20, 1953 in Boscobel, WI and he preceded her in death November 22, 2020.

Mona was also preceded in death by her parents Delbert and Faye Monroe, daughter, Mary Koderick one grandson, Larry Laughlin, one great-grandson, Dalton Lankford; brothers, Delbert Monroe, Ryland Monroe, Robert Monroe, Alva Monroe, Raymond Monroe, and James Ostrander, and sister, Verna Puckett.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Wade and Sandra Spencer, both of Seneca, MO; one son, Gordon Faust Jr. and wife Angie, Miami, OK; one brother Jerry Monroe, Muscoda, WI; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grand children and 30 great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family.

The casket will be closed at all times.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery with Joshua Frakes officiating.
