Michael LeRoy Scobee
Michael LeRoy Scobee SR., Wichita, KS, age 68, passed away on June 12, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO after a short illness.Michael LeRoy Scobee was born June 4, 1950 in Liberal, MO the son of Elmer and Mona (Patterson) Scobee. Michael was a veteran serving in the Army of the United States. He formerly worked as a delivery driver for Lampton Welding Supply CO, Wichita, KS. He loved to fish, gardening, watching football and NASCAR, gambling, both scratcher tickets and casinos. He was stubborn but at the same time he was caring to a fault. LeRoy believed in God but never pushed his faith upon anyone else. He loved to do things his way and loved his family and held them very dear to his heart. Survivors include two sons; Michael Scobee Jr. and wife Marlana, of Wichita, KS and Darrin Scobee Hess and wife Amy, of Aurora, MO; grandsons, Michael D. Scobee, Dalton Hess and Chris Sorrels; granddaughters, Alexis Bean, Alyssa Longdon, Shelby Wyatt, Teely Johnson and Elizabeth Almoabdy; Great-grandsons, Liam Wyatt and Grayson Bean; Great-granddaughter Riley Sorrels. Siblings, Gary Smith and wife Shirley, Lois Summers, Lee Scobee, Ethel Mayes and husband Charlie , Albert Scobee and wife Diane, Billy Scobee and wife Debbie, Joyce Turner and husband Mike, Maggie Pennington and husband Bert and Ben Scobee and wife Sherri. Michael LeRoy Scobee was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Earl Scobee and David Poor. The body has been taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca. A memorial service will be held at 4:30pm, June 6, 2019 at the Hornet Cemetery in Hornet, MO.
