Michael Halle-Cook

Michael Hallecook, 70, passed away on May 22, 2024 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO.

Michael was born in Amarillo, TX on May 3 1954 to William and Mildred Cook, the fourth of five children. As a child he was an avid reader and dreamed of visiting all the places he had read about. He was able to achieve this dream spending time in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, India, and various other countries with his work managing constructions projects for companies such as Raytheon and Black and Veach. A lifelong learner, in 2002 he went back to school and finished a bachelor's degree in sociology. Michael retired in 2011 to spend more time with his wife. He spent his retirement studying various religious texts, self publishing several books, gardening, painting, and coin collecting.

Michael married Deborah Joane Hallecook on April 11, 1975 and had three children, Lacey, Joseph, and Sabrina.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his children; Joseph HalleCook, Olathe, KS, Sabrina Warwick, Overland Park, KS and Lacey Cook, Olathe, KS.

Graveside services will be held at 10am, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery with Kenji Harrington officiating. The casket will remain closed at all times.
