Mary Haynes

Mary Lou Massey Haynes, 85, Joplin, MO passed into eternal rest November 28, 2023 at Westgate Nursing Home in Joplin, MO after an illness.

Mary Lou Friend was born February 22, 1938 in Ottawa County, Oklahoma the daughter of Leonard and Cecil (Griffin) Friend. Mary Lou was a life long resident. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, sewing, puzzles and especially going shopping.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Cecil (Griffin) Friend and step-father Troy Peacher; two sons, Kenneth Dale Massey and David Massey; one sister Myrtle Harris and her husbands Lawton Massey and Kale Haynes.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy Cook, Fairland, OK, Marsha Oliver and husband Joe, Neosho, MO and Melissa Perry and husband Dallas, Rogers AR; a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 7pm, Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home with Rod VanGorkam officiating. Burial will be in the Wyandotte Cemetery with Shane Cook, Trampes Cook, Kyler Dunham Trampes Cook Jr., Jack Massey, Lester (Junior) Griffin and Harold Massey serving as pallbearers.
