Marvin Lampher
Marvin Dawson Lampher, 8O, Wyandotte, OK passed into eternal rest at 12:02 AM, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO after an illness. Marvin Dawson Lampher was born January 16, 1931 in Jay, OK the son of Irvin and Evelyn (Dawson) Lampher. Marvin served his county in the Army during the Korean War and received the Purple Heart. He was a full fledge farmer and loved every minute of it. Survivors include one son, Harlan Lampher, Wyandotte, OK; four daughters, Mary Martin, Joplin, Patty Evans, Bella Vista, AR, Evelyn Keller, Neosho and Charlotte Andrews, Exchange, PA; three brothers, Darrel Lamphear, Jay, OK, Gene Lamphear, Decatur, AR and Troy Lamphear, Miami, OK; one sister, Francis Gallanari, Surfside Beach SC; 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Beverly Diane Gresh in 2005 and one brother Bud Lampher in 1974. Graveside services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM, March 8, 2011 at the Seneca Cemetery with Pastor Ken Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM, Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
