Marcella Benson

Marcella Ann (Yust) Benson, 88, Blue Springs, MO. formerly of Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest at 1:50 PM, August 4, 2013 at the Warterford South Assisted Living Center after a long illness.    Marcella was born September 15, 1924 in Seneca, MO the daughter of Charles and Anna (Kruse) Yust. Marcella A Benson graduated from St. Peter’s High School in Joplin, Missouri. She was a retired book keeper working for a construction company.      Survivors include one son, David Benson, Vista CA; two grandsons, David Benson II and wife Paula, Blue Springs, MO, and John Benson and Gena, Omaha, NE; four great-grandsons and one great- granddaughter; two sisters Mildred Morse, Joplin, MO and Ruth Richardson and husband Hal, Chesterfield, MO; two brothers Anthony Yust, Seneca and Alfred Yust, Kansas City, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.    Marcella was preceded in death by seven brothers, Melvin Bud Yust, Wilfred Yust, Edward Yust, Arnold Yust, Earl Yust, Paul Yust and Ralph Yust and one sister Dorothy Campbell.    Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Seneca with Rev. Patrick Teeter officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Seneca, with nephews serving as pallbearers.    Prayer service will be held August 6, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM with visitation from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM.   Arrangements under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.   In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.
