Louise May (Brodrick) Easley, a life long resident of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 85 years.
Louise was born on December 31, 1935 to Chester and Dorthy Brodrick of Wyandotte, OK. She was a twin and was child number 7 of 13 brothers and sisters.
Louise had three wonderful daughters, Mary Alumbaugh, Sherrie Barnard, and Marsha Shuck with Lonnie Easley, her husband of 34 years.
She was a graduate of Wyandotte High School and attended NEO A&M college. Along with being a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother, she worked as a nurse, a hairdresser, a factory worker, and a care provider up until her retirement.
Louise loved the Lord and loved spending time with her family and friends. Louise loved to laugh and could often be found sitting on her front porch swing enjoying the outdoors. She spent a lot of her free time watching westerns and talking on the phone to her loved ones and friends.
Louise was known for being a strong woman who not only took care of herself, but was a caregiver to everyone she met. She was the type of woman that never met a stranger, and would help you in any way she could. Besides creating and being a part of a large family, her greatest accomplishment was loving the Lord and teaching her children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren about Jesus. She was an avid member of her church (Family Worship Center) where she loved to sing and worship. She had a servant’s heart and volunteered and gave her time to furthering the Kingdom of God, and has now left that legacy to her family. She was the type of woman who made a lasting impact on every person she met, and will be missed by many.
Louise has joined her parents, siblings, grandchildren, & great grandchildren, Alta Chafin, Frank Brodrick, Bill Brodrick, Robert Brodrick, Lois Wyrick (her twin), Chester (Wop) Brodrick, Kathryn Crafton, Clarence (Chip) Brodrick, Doretha Cooke, Ella May King, Tanner Shuck & Kami Rae France, in heaven.
She is survived by her two siblings, Edward Brodrick and Dorthy Crafton, her daughters & son-in-laws, Mary and Garold Alumbaugh, Sherrie and Bill Barnard, Marsha and Richard Shuck, six grandchildren, Erica Golden, Keisha Barnard, Jessica Alumbaugh, Kilie VanCleave, Michaela Alumbaugh, Sidney Cameron and six great grandchildren.
Her visitation will be held at the Campbell Biddelcome Funeral Home in Seneca, Mo on Monday, July 5th from 6 – 7 pm. Her funeral will be held at the Fairland Assembly of God church in Fairland, OK on Tuesday, July 6th at 10:00am. Graveside service will be held at the Wyandotte Cemetery in Wyandotte, Ok.
