Kourtney Alane Keith, 27, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest December 14, 2022 at Mercy Hospital after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
Kourtney Alane Keith was born September 8, 1995 in Joplin, MO the daughter of Kevin and Brenda (Raulston) Keith. Kourtney was a lifelong area resident. She was a 2014 Graduate of Seneca High School. She also was a substitute teacher for the Seneca R7 School District. She was attending classes at Crowder College working to obtain a degree in Criminal Justice and Forensics. Kourtney volunteered with the Seneca Police Department. She did several ride a long's with the police department. Kourtney was an avid reader, and she had her own library of books to choose from. She also loved to binge watch TV shows. Kourtney loved to draw and loved cats and dogs. She had a special place in her heart for her dog Ruby. She loved to ride her bike and road it as often as she could. Kourtney received a lung transplant in 2019. She then road her bike 14 to 16 miles a day. Kourtney was a member of the Seneca Church of Christ.
Survivors include her parents, Kevin and Brenda Keith, Seneca, MO; maternal grandfather LeRoy Raulston, Neosho; two sisters, Kaitlin Hayes and husband Travis and Presley Yacalavitch all of Seneca, MO; one brother, Taylor Keith and wife Victoria, Neosho; nieces and nephews; Addyson Hayes, Easton Hayes, Wade Hayes, Della Yacalavitch, Sophie Keith, Sylia Keith and one on the way and a host of aunts and uncles and extend family and friends.
Kourtney was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Duane and Nadine Keith and her maternal grandmother Nancy Raulston.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm, Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the Seneca Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 19, 2022 at the Seneca Church of Christ with Jake King and Will King officiating. Burial will be in the Thompson Grove Cemetery with Kevin Keith, Taylor Keith, Travis Hayes, Hugh Murray, Will King and Thomas Pendergraft serving as pallbearers.
