Katheryn Edwards

Katheryn M. Edwards, 87, Wyandotte, OK, passed into eternal rest June 29, 2022 at the Higher Call Nursing Centery in Quapaw, OK after a long illness.

Katheryn Maud Martin was born November 18, 1934 in Watts, OK the daughter of Albert and Zella (Still) Martin. Katheryn was a 1952 graduate of the Seligman High School. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and partner on their farm. She loved to cook, gardening, red roses and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Katheryn definitely loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Sycamore Chapel United Methodist Church south of Wyandotte for around 20 years.

Katheryn M. Martin married George (Bud) Edwards and he survives.

Additonal survivors include one son, John Edwards; grandchildren, Johnnie Scott Edwards, Cole Vittetoe, Dylan Vittetoe, Shane Vandenburg and Jonathan Vandenburg; Great-Grandchildren, Gage Edwards, Elliott Vittetoe, Autumn Vittetoe, Cameron Vanderburg and Reid Vandenburg; one brother, J.D. Martin; one sister, Darlene Ricketts and a host of family, church family and friends.

Katheryn was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Lesa Vandenburg.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at the Sycamore Chapel United Methodist Church, Wyandotte, OK with Rev. Jon Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Diamond Cemetery, Diamond, MO.
