Johnny Lankford

Johnny R. Lankford, 51, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 2:20 PM, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin.   Johnny Rhynn Lankford was born February 10, 1960 in Alta Dena, CA the son of John Bruce and Phyllis (Sherwood) Lankford.  Johnny was a 1978 graduate of Seneca High School and had formerly worked as a supervisor for Crowder Industries in Neosho.   He was a member of Hottel Springs Church of Christ.   Survivors include one daughter Krista Wakefield, Seneca; his father, John Bruce Lankford, Seneca; two brothers, Todd Lankford, Springfield and Shad Lankford, Seneca; one sister, Tammy Miller, Seneca; Three grandchildren, Savannah Raney, Rhynn Raney and Trentyn Raney and a host of family and friends.Johnny was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Lankford in 2002.   Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Hottel Springs Church of Christ with Lawrence Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Thompson Grove Cemetery with Joel Miller, Matt Miller, Gage Lankford, Drew Lankford, Cole Lankford and Ryan Murphy serving as pallbearers.    The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.
