Obituary for John Marvin Waugh

John Marvin Waugh, 83, Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest at 8:45 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2011 at his home in rural Seneca after a long illness.  John Marvin Waugh was born March 7, 1928 in Effingham, Ill the son of Dallas and Maude Olive Elizabeth (Lankford) Waugh. Marvin had retired from Tri-State Motor Transit where he was a dispatcher.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seneca. John Marvin married Ada Marie Beaty in Tuscola, Ill June 27, 1948 and she preceded him in death February 21, 2011.  Survivors include two sons; Rick Lee Waugh and wife Cindy, Seneca, MO and John Jeffrey Waugh and wife Deborah, Talala, OK; two daughters, Vicki Lynn Waugh, Seneca and Susan Hutcheson and husband Rex, Joplin, MO; one sister, Rebecca Joyce (Waugh)Cornell, Effingham, Ill; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.  Marvin was preceded in death by his father Dallas Waugh in 1954 and his mother Maude Waugh in 1969; four sisters, Helen Deretha Waugh in 1913, Deloris Evelyn Lustig in 1993, Virginia Leona Pauls in 2010 and Lena Elnore Sparr in 1988; six brothers; Harley Prett Waugh in 1971, Ray Donald Waugh in 1995, Wayne Edward Waugh in 2002, Darrell Eugene Waugh in 2001, Dallas Dale Waugh in 2002 and James Leonard Waugh in 1996.  Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Seneca with Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Burkhart Cemetery with family members serving as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM, Friday at the First Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.
