John Merriman

John R. Merriman, 83, Miami, OK, passed into eternal rest June 7, 2016.   John R. Merriman was born April 9, 1933 in Ritchey, MO, the son of Arnold R. SR. and Cinderella (York) Merriman. John worked and lived in the Seneca Area. He worked for the Woodward Saw Mill until retiring in 1998.  He enjoyed fishing and cross word puzzles.   Survivors include one son, John Paul Merriman and wife Judy, Neosho, MO; three daughters, Marietta Shinn and fiancée Jim Loughridge , Miami, OK and Sheila Clark and husband Gary, Smithfield, PA; four brothers, AJ Merriman, Ted Merriman, Rod Merriman all of Wyandotte and Claude Merriman, Seneca; One sister, Emma Atchison, Wyandotte; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.    John was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Phyllis Reed and one son Robert Merriman.     Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm, June 9, 2016 at with Raymond Merriman and David Cox officiating.  Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery, West Seneca, OK, with Casey Merriman, Colby Merriman, Corey Merriman, John Russell, Aric Merriman and Aaron Merriman serving as pallbearers.    The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, June 8, 2016 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.    Arrangements under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
