Obituary for Joan A. Bates

Joan A. Bates, 74, Neosho, MO, passed into eternal rest at 10:22 pm, May 3, 2014 at her home after an illness. Joan Alberta Bates was born March 4, 1940 in Racine, MO the daughter of Quenston and Pearl (Durbin) Walker. Joan was a homemaker and a member of Freedom Fellowship in Goodman, MO. Joan A. Walker married Leonard Ray Bates February 27, 1973 in Neosho, MO and he survives. Additional survivors include; four sons, Johnny Bates, Oklahoma City, OK, Rick Ball and wife Lynn, Neosho, Clayton Bates and wife JoAnn, Granby, MO, Ronnie Bates and wife Jamie, Neosho; one daughter, Brenda Andrews and husband, David, Neosho; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, C.A Brott, Seneca and Darrel Walker and wife Diane, Seneca; three sisters, Sue Michael and husband Bill, Seneca, Loretta Davis and husband Gary, Joplin and Jeanie Cox and husband Tom, Seneca. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Brott and Pearl Brott, one sister, Sally Ray; one brother, Ronald Grant and one daughter, Lisa Marie Bates  Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Pentecostal Life Center 5500 Gateway Dr, Joplin, with Rocky Tash officiating. Burial will be in the Burkhart Cemetery with Josh Andrews, Caleb Andrews, Justin Ball, Daniel Carter, Johnathan Bates and Jerome Jones serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Freedom Fellowship Missions in care of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865
