Herschel Daniels

Herschel L. Daniels, 83, Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest at 11:45 AM, June 22, 2011 at St. Johns Regional Medical Center in Joplin after a long illness.   Herschel L. Daniels was born January 14, 1928 in Carterville, MO the son of Vaughn and Ida (Moody) Daniels.  Herschel had lived in the area most of his life. He formerly worked as a Field Representative for the Milnot Company in Seneca and he also had worked at PET.  Herschel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seneca and was a Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War.  Herschel married Ella Mae (Kytle) April 21, 1948 in Harrison, ARK and she preceded him in death October 17, 2009.   Survivors include two sons, Herschel Kent Daniels, Neosho and Curtis Daniels, Seneca; two daughters, Connie Brown and Karen Gilstrap both of Seneca; one sister, Donna Goswick, Racine; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.   Herschel was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Bernadean Wilson and Altabelle Ogle and one granddaughter, Shelly Brown.   Funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Seneca with Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery with Shawn D. Daniels, Justin Daniels, Michael Gilstrap, David Gilstrap, Rodney Gilstrap and Jeff Brown serving as pallbearers.  The family will be at the home of Herschel’s daughter Connie Brown.
