Gary E. Reynolds
Gary Eugene Reynolds, 63, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest April 30, 2016 at his home after a long illness. Gary E. Reynolds was born February 20, 1953 in Amarillo, TX, the son of Trendall and Dorothy (Cupp) Reynolds. Gary served his country in the Army National Guard from 1970 to 1980. He was a Jasper County Deputy Sheriff serving 28 years retiring in 2007. He also formerly served on the Carterville Police Department and the Carterville Fire Department. He loved fishing and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Gary E. Reynolds married Patty McKibben February 25, 1978 and she survives. Additional survivors include one son; Donald Reynolds, LaTrobe, PA; four daughters, Jennifer Wilson and husband Eric, Seneca, MO, Angela Smith and husband Robert, Neosho, MO, Lisa Reynolds, Export, PA and Heather Coffman, Joplin, MO; 9 grandchildren, Donald Reynolds Jr., Jonathan Smith, Danny Reynolds, Brianna Wilson, Bryan Smith, Dakota Wilson, Terran Smith, K’Le Wilson and Kage Coffman; four brothers, Jerry Don Reynolds and wife Duanne, Joplin, MO, Dalton Reynolds and wife Leisa, Galena, KS, Larry Paul Reynold and wife Trish, Joplin, MO and Larry Smith, Webb City, MO; four sisters, Barbara Owens and husband Herb, Granby, MO, Anita Demery, Carterville, MO, Yvonne Bird, South West Brett, IA and Mechelle Budd, Webb City, MO and sister-in-law, Beverly Reynolds, Carl Junction. Gary was proceeded in death by his parents Trendall and Dorothy Reynolds, one sister, Debara Miller, one brother, Terry Lee Reynolds and one grandson, Christopher Smith. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home. The body then will be taken for cremation. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Spurgeon RD in Joplin, MO, with Rev. John Wilkins officiating. There will be a reception following the memorial service in the dining hall. Arrangements under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
