Obituary for Gary D. Moody

Gary D. Moody, 72, Wyandotte, OK, passed into eternal rest at 5:42 PM, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Integris Miami Baptist Hospital after a sudden illness.    Gary David Moody was born November 29, 1940 in Santa Monica, CA the son of Alfred and Mary (Horner) Moody. Gary served as a Minister for the United Methodist Church for many years serving in various communities including West Siloam Springs, Wyandotte United Methodist Church and the Sycamore Chapel United Methodist Church both in Wyandotte.  Gary also served as a Deacon of the United Methodist Church.  He loved to serve and was a member of the Wyandotte Lions Club, Rural Fellowship, the J.C.'s, several boards for the United Methodist Church, NFAM&LP and numerous other service organizations. He loved to sing and was a former member of a Barber Shop Quartet.   Gary David Moody married Linda Horner April 21, 1963 in Wichita, KS and she survives.   Additional survivors include one son, David LeRoy Moody Sr, Del City, OK; one daughter Laura Simone Pendergraft, Seneca; one sister Karen and Parker, Houston, TX; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a host of church family and friends.   Gary was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Ryder Pendergraft and one brother, Michael Moody.    A Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Sycamore Chapel United Methodist Church, Wyandotte with Rev. George Warren officiating.    The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
