Obituary for Gail Janelle Butler – Boyer
Gail Janelle Butler – Boyer age 84, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2021.
She was born on August 28, 1937 in Fairland Oklahoma. She was born to Elvia and Ada Wishon who preceded her in death. She married her high school sweetheart Douglas Dale Butler on April 10, 1954. Doug preceded her in death on April 10, 1988. Later in life she met and married Gean Boyer. She often referred to Doug as her young love and Gean as her old love. Gean preceded her in death on March 13, 2019.
Gail loved people and loved helping others. She loved to quilt and sew. She also loved gardening and canning vegetables. For many years she worked for La-Z-Boy in Neosho. First as a supervisor and then as a nurse. In 1993, she went to Franklin Tech and became a LPN. Gail had the opportunity to go to the country of Ukraine and serve as a missionary and she really enjoyed helping the people there. She also graduated from Rhema Bible College in 2003, attending with her granddaughter. She loved to do crossword puzzles, which she was very good at solving. She enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse which is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Gail is survived by her children, Peggy and Arthur Blacketer, Duane and Kathy Butler, Mark and Pamela Butler, Tom and Karen Butler, Dan and Betsy Butler. Also survived by three stepchildren, Gean Jr (Butch) and Robin Boyer, Julie and Doug Whiteeagle, and Marla Buening. She has sixteen (16) grandchildren, thirty-six (36) great-grandchildren and two (2) great great grandchildren. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

There is visitation at Campbell Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca on December 20, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
Please join us in celebrating Gail’s life, Tuesday December 21, 2021 at Neosho Community Chapel at 10:00 am. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with Grandsons serving as Pall-Bearers will be: Barry Blacketer, Shad Fanning, Taylor Hayes, Remington Renfro, Jeffrey Butler, Kendall Williams, Braden Boyer, and Brad Blacketer.
