Elizabeth (Betty) B. Winnie

Elizabeth "Betty" B. Winnie, 89, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 9:56pm, November 7, 2023 at the Seneca Nursing Facility after a long illness.

Elizabeth Bozelia Thurman was born June 20, 1934 in Seneca, MO the daughter of Thomas and Alma "Silvey" Thurman. Betty, loved gardening, reading, working puzzles and her animals. Betty was a Registered Nurse and formerly worked for Memorial Hospital in Bellville, IL. She loved helping family and friends. Betty Loved going to the Wyandotte Nation AOA spending time with her friends and especially spending time with her family.

She owned and operated the former Stone Church Antiques which was located on Mill st. Betty was of the Baptist Faith and was a former member of Faith Baptist Church in Freeburg, IL.

Elizabeth "Betty" Thurman married Roland L. Winnie June 10, 1934 and he preceded her in death April 5, 1992.

Survivors include: her children, Sharon Winnie-Vann, Daniel Winnie, Donna Plumlee, Greg Winnie; her brother, Phil Thurman and her sister, Pat Metzler and a host of grandchildern and great grandchildren. Her many nieces and nephews will also miss her.

The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date
