Earl Cameron
Earl F. Cameron — Oct. 25, 1921 - March 28, 2012 Earl F. Cameron, 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Seneca House in Seneca, Mo. Earl was born on Oct. 25, 1921 in Beattie, Kan., the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Cameron and Dorothy Mallonee Cameron. He attended high school at Fairfax, Okla. And he married JoAnn Wetzel Cameron on April 20, 1946 in Columbus, Kan. Earl served in WWII as a member of the 203rd Regiment. He was awarded the Motor Vehicle Drivers Award, a citation for heroic conduct. And he received the Bronze Star as a member of the 56th Armored Engineer Battalion. He worked for BF Goodrich in Miami, Okla. for almost 20 years, retiring when the plant closed. He owned and operated Cameron Water Well Drilling. Earl was a member of Hart Baptist Church and the Masonic Blue Lodge in Neosho, Mo. Earl was preceded in death by his two sons, Earl Hugh Cameron and Gary Franklin Cameron, and siblings Don Cameron and Irene Wilson. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Seneca), daughter Linda Roark (Seneca), siblings Ben Cameron and wife Liz (Miami, Okla.) and Betty Montgomery and husband Carl (Joplin, Mo.), seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation for Earl Cameron will be held on Sunday, April 1, from 2-3 p.m. at Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 2, at 2 p.m. at the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery.
