David Durbin

David E. Durbin, 72, Joplin, MO, passed into eternal rest January 6, 2025 after an illness.

David Eugene Durbin was born September 8, 1952 in Neosho, MO the son of Earl and Nellie (Terry) Durbin. David had lived in the area most of his life. He was a carpenter (a man of many trades). David enjoyed fishing, going to auctions, spending time with his family and being outdoors. His life changed once he found his Lord and Savior. After that time he was all in for Jesus and his church became his life. He was a member of the Pentecostal Life Center, Joplin, MO.

Survivors include his wife Debra (Kindley) Durbin, Joplin, MO; children, David W. Durbin and wife Mary, Miami, OK, Shelly Brazil and husband Danny, Miami, OK, Gina McElhany, Miami, OK and Josh Durbin, Grove, OK; two brothers, Jim Durbin and wife Rose, Seneca and Terry Durbin, Neosho, MO; one sister Joyce Jones and husband Gary, Seneca; nine grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his father and mother, Earl and Nellie Durbin, three brothers, Michael Durbin, Eddie Durbin and Randy Durbin.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 6pm, Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Pentecostal Life Center, Joplin, MO. Funeral services will be at 6pm following the visitation with Pastor Jarrod Jones officiating. A private burial will be in the Burkhart Cemetery.
