Charles "Bud" White
Charles F. “Bud” White, 81, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest at 1:32 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO after a sudden illness. Charles F. White was born November 26, 1929 in Cordell, OK the son of Charles and Edith Alice (Pettit) White. Bud grew up in the Sentinel / Cordell area. Bud had lived in Seneca for the past 56 years. He worked for Tristate Motor Transit where he was a Traffic Manager. He Had also worked for C.I. Whitten Transfer CO. Huntington West Virginia before retiring. Bud attended Hottel Springs Church of Christ and was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Past Master in the Neosho Blue Lodge 247. He was also a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine in Springfield, MO. Bud loved to fish and was well known in Seneca for his jokes of the day. Charles F. “Bud” White married Laverne Smith October 16, 1948 in Sentinel, OK and she survives. Additional survivors include one son, Mike White, Fairland; one daughter LuAnn White Lockhart, Grove and four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of friends.Bud was preceded in death by his mother Edith White in 1955, his father Charles White in 1960, one son Pat White in 1998 and one sister Mary Lee McWhirter in 2010. Masonic Rites will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 17, 2011 with visitation being held from 2:15 to 3:00 PM, at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca. Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Hottel Springs Church of Christ with Lawrence Sanders officiating. Graveside committal services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Sentinel Cemetery in Sentinel, OK.
