Charles Morris Thacker "Chuck" age 91 of Noel, Missouri passed into eternal rest on June 1, 2022 in Joplin, MO after an illness.

Charles was born July 13, 1930 in Galena, KS to William W. Thacker and Inez M. (Leach) Thacker. He moved to Seneca, MO in 1969, then to Noel, MO in 1990.

He served a short term in the Air Force in 1946 before marrying Shirley Collins in 1950. He was the owner and operator of body shops and towing services in Oklahoma, California, and Missouri. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with loved ones and good friends. He took pride in teaching his son and grandchildren his trade. He was still running his shop in Noel before he became ill at the age of 91. He was often asked the question "When will you retire?", he would answer "When the good Lord wants me to."

We rejoice that our grandfather is at rest in the arms of Jesus. (He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever. Psalms 21:4)

He was preceded in death by one son, Charles E. Thacker; two daughters, Rebecca J. Rodgers and Roberta J. Thacker; one grandson, Danny W. Star; four brothers, Clifford Thacker, Thomas Thacker, William Thacker, Herman Thacker and seven sisters, Edith Bergman, Josephine Garett, Ellen Mussman, Nadine Thacker, Hazel Muckey, Fern Smith and Orlena Rose Basinger.

Survivors include one (twin) sister, Sidney Hays; 7 grandsons, Vince Ma'aele, Michael Star, Jason Sabatucci, Charles Thacker, Jr., Jimmy Thacker, Robert Faulkner, Johnathan Faulkner; 3 granddaughters, Jennifer Hutchison, Lisa Cole, and Lorrene Faulkner; 25 great- grandchildren;17 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM June 9, 2022, at GAR Cemetery in Miami, OK officiated by Pastor Gary Rhodes.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 8th at Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca, MO.
