Betty Jean Revel
Betty Jean Revel, 91, Joplin, MO, went to be with her Lord, February 23, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin after an illness. Betty was born September 2, 1925 in Dodge City, KS. The daughter of Albert Eli and Mary Ethel (Harmon) Heft. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the 26th and Connecticut Church of Christ, Joplin. She loved traveling, bird watching, painting, and cooking. Betty had formerly lived in KS, OK, TX, FL, GA, LA, Japan and most recently Joplin, MO. Survivors include; two sons, Ansel Revel, Joplin and Russel Revel, Springfield; four daughters, Retta Woods, Chickasha, OK, Suzette Clevenger, Joplin, Linda Porter, Livonia, MI and Leslie Skinner, Joplin; one brother, Jimmie Heft, Topeka, KS; one sister, Joan Heft, Joplin; 21 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Mary Jane Cohn, and infant daughter, Jamie Lou Revel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 3, 2017 at the 26th and Connecticut Church of Christ, Joplin, with Richard Chambers officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with family members serving as pallbearers. Flowers can be sent to Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
