Bernice Allen

Bernice F. Allen, 88, Carthage, MO born February 4, 1935 in East St. Louis passed away September 2, 2023 after a short illness.

Bernice graduated from Dupo High School Class of 1952. She worked for First Illinois Bank in East St. Louis for 44 years retiring in 2000. She enjoyed traveling and going to Cardinal Baseball games.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward in 2007. Bernice and Edward were married in 1952. She was also preceded in death by two children, Edward Jr and Sandra L. Allen, her loving companion, James E. Farless, her parents Homer and Olive (Nee Ferris) Weaver, one brother Homer Weaver Jr, sisters Carolyn Ozrowicz and Joyce Fruits , brother-in-law's Ira Fruits and Charles F. Miller Jr.

Survivors include sister Harriett Miller, Carthage and sister-in-law Sally Weaver, New Baden; Many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Valhalla Gardens, 3412 Frank Scott Pkwy West, Belleville, IL 62226.
