Barbara Severson

  Barbara Lee Severson, 57, Joplin, MO passed away suddenly February 21, 2024 at her home.
  Barbara Lee King was born October 15, 1966 in the state of Arkansas. She was was adopted by Daryl (Short) and Donna King in 1968. She grew up in Seneca and graduated from Seneca High School in 1985. Barbie as she was known by family and friends lived life to the fullest. After graduation she went to California and to Washington returning back to the area later in her life. She loved growing plants and especially herbs. Barbie loved listening to music. In 2020 Barbie got to meet 7 of her biologic siblings and an aunt.
  Barbie was preceded in death by her parents Daryl (Short) King and Donna King; her husband Craig Severson; one brother Kevin King and one son Kerg Severson and one great-niece Sydnee Humphries.
  Survivors include; her life partner Kenny O'Dell, Joplin, MO; one sister Jerri King and partner Lori Gilbert, Seneca; her children, David Churchwell, Nixa, MO, William Elliott and Melissa Vu-Nguyen-Elliott, Germany, Knox Savage and husband Johnny; 5 grandchildren; her biologic siblings, Starla Campbell, North Carolina, Nelda of Oklahoma, Joe Wolf, McCalaster, OK, Monica Fearnside, Spiro, OK, Heather Finley, Spiro, OK, Glenna Finley, Pocola, OK, Jerry Finley, Northern Oklahoma and Jerry Finley, Southern, OK; one Aunt Linda Spiers, Charleston, AR. and host extend family.
   A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 7pm, Tuesday, February, 27, 2024 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca. Following the visitation the body will be taken for cremation.
