Ada Durocher

Ada Pearl Durocher, 77, Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest at 9:55 PM, Thursday, August 1, 2013 at her home in rural Seneca after losing her battle with cancer.    Ada Pearl Curtis was born June 14, 1936 in Houston, TX the daughter of Cecil and Opal Curtis. Ada was a loving and kind person. She loved her country and proudly served in the US Navy for 32 years retiring in 1992. She worked as a E6 Accounting Tech. and was a member of the Hart Baptist Church.    Ada Pearl Curtis married Harold Anthony Durocher Sr. August 30, 1957 in Kingsland, GA and he preceded her in death May 15, 1993. Also preceding her in death was her parents Cecil and Opal Curtis, two sons, Michael Alan Durocher and Harold Anthony Durocher Jr.; two brothers, Junior Curtis and Joe Curtis; and two sisters, Linda Curtis and Viola Sherman.   Survivors include one son, Brian Durocher, Seneca; one daughter, Deirdre LaRue, Union Grove, AL; four sisters, Verna Hodson, Hart, MO, Allene Anderson, Joplin, MO, Catherine Johnson, Diamond, MO and Glenda Black, Camden Point, MO; one half sister, Myra Smith, Arlington, TX; one brother, Bill Curtis, Joplin, MO; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.   The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.   Funeral services and Military Rites will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home with Fred Mills officiating. Following funeral services the body will be taken for cremation.
